Why will you love our breakfasts?

Breakfast is our favorite part of our guests’ visit because it gives us a chance to chat, drink some coffee, and get to know them better… oh: and to eat!

Breakfast for us starts early in the morning as we prepare your food. Sometimes you may hear an oven turning on and you’ll certainly smell breakfast before you ever taste it; the air becoming redolent in sweet and savory foods. And we’re serious about dietary restrictions. If you have any, please let us know as soon as possible. We want to make sure our vegans get more than fruit and our lactose intolerant get more than… fruit. We are proactive in making everyone’s meal tasty and exciting.

Making you happy

Generally our breakfast time starts at eight and runs until nine but that’s an estimation. If you need breakfast earlier or later, you need only let us know. We want you to be fed in the morning! And if you have any special requests (light salt, gluten free, etc.) let us know! We want to make you happy.

Around seven thirty, one of our staff will be in the breakfast room, ready to serve you your beverage of choice and get your food ready. Instead of a buffet, our breakfasts are table d’hôte meaning there is one type of entre per day. We do our best to not repeat a breakfast during your visit and to tailor your meal to your liking. Again, just let us know ahead of time to make that easier for you and us.

Enjoy your breakfast

At breakfast, we’ll talk about your dinner selections from last night and for the rest of your stay, answer any questions you may have about the area, or just talk about topics you like. If eating breakfast with a lot of people makes you nervous, we’ve designed our breakfast room to be conducive to be both an intimate experience with you and your breakfast partner, or more inclusive; no one big table but instead one small room.

We do think you’ll love our breakfasts and that they – and the conversations we have – can fulfill your joy at our home.

  • Country ham biscuits and molasses served with eggs over medium and fresh fruit
  • Quiche with chef’s choice of fillings served with fresh spring mix salad tossed in light vinaigrette dressing and shrimp
  • Made-from-scratch personal banana bread served with scrambled eggs and bacon
  • French toast topped with fresh berries with scrambled eggs and sausage
  • Country sausage gravy served over made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits with eggs to order and fresh fruit
