Dear Guest,
The theme for this newsletter is Integrity..."to give real
service you must add something which cannot be
bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity
and integrity." Although we don't always succeed, we
strive to provide integrity in all our endeavors.
2007 has been a banner year so far. Since our last
newsletter, we have completed some major
renovations. We've completly updated the Cedars
Cottage. The Peyton Randolph and Lord Bortetourt
are freshly painted. The floor between the rooms is
sound-proofed and carpeted and each bathroom has
a brand new look.
In the main house, the downstairs work area and
resident manager's
apartment are sites to see. We've installed new
floors, new ceiling, new fixtures, new paint, new paint,
and new paint. (Guess who did the painting!) The
gardens are blooming and the gazebo steam
cleaned and shiny. We've even fixed our downstairs
water problem. It sure has been a lot of work but its
finally coming together.
On a community note, thanks to the
efforts and hard work of many people in the region,
our 18 month gala
Jametown 2007 effort was a hit by all measures. A
sincere and heartfelt thanks to the wonderful crew at
Jamestown
2007, Jamestown
Settlement, the
Williamsburg
Area Tourism Alliance and all 2,200
volunteers who made the entire event possible.
May, in particular, was very busy with daily housefuls
of wonderful guests, more capital improvements, the
Queen, the President, the Ladies Professional Golf
Tourney at Kingsmill, William & Mary graduation,
phew.
As I said, 2007 is shaping up into a
great year and we hope we get a chance to share it
with you. Plan your next visit to Williamsburg real
soon. Many wonderful memories await.

Watch us on the Fine Living Network - June 16 & 24 |
 |
In our last newsletter, we told you about how we aided
in the production of the Williamsburg segment of a
new show What you get for the Money: Vacation
featuring the Cedars of Williamsburg Bed and
Breakfast. Well, time to buy that popcorn! The
Williamsburg episode will air June 16th
and 24th at noon, 9:00 PM and midnight.
Last summer, I got a call one evening from
Veronica, Research/Casting Manager from High Noon
Productions. At first I thought they needed me as a
stand-in
for George Clooney, a body-double for Arnold
Schwarzenegger or a voice-over for Luther Vandross.
But no, they were interested in featuring Williamsburg
in the pilot of their new series. Almost as good!
The Cedars of Williamsburg Bed & Breakfast hosted
the High Noon Productions' Production Crew for a one-
day shoot in Williamsburg on August 13th.
The new show, What You Get for the Money -
Vacations focuses on the experience
and cost of vacations around the globe. The
Williamsburg segment follows Meg & Ryan's
experiences in Jamestown, Busch Gardens, a
romantic walk on William & Mary's Crim Dell Bridge.
They check-in for an evening's stay at the Cedars ,
enjoying the Cedars' ultimate "Romantic Getaway Package" with
chilled wine, chocolates, flowers,
massages compliments of A Williamsburg Wellness Center and Spa and
picture mementos. The segment
concludes with a wonderfully romantic dinner for two
at the Whitehall
Restaurant; all part of the
package.
The Fine Living series is currently available in cable
format with an audience of 38 million homes and
growing. The goal of Fine Living is to convey
information to their affluent, educated viewers and
show them how to get the most experience for their
money.

As is our tradition, we want to share photos of the
many special events hosted at the Cedars. We have
linked to photo tours of all of the events we've hosted
since our last newsletter. Be sure to see the many
memories of Cedars gatherings. We hope you enjoy
them as much as we did.
Since December

W&M Amphitheater to Reopened |
 |
After many years of neglect, the College of William and
Mary will reopen the newly renovated Amphitheater on
Lake Matoka. In addition to student evenings, evening
concerts are planned.
For Cedars guests,
this will be a nice addition choice for guests. The
amphitheather is about a 5 minute walk from from
us.
We will provide more details and concert
schedules when they become available.
