ABCs of B&Bs: Questions to Ask
If you are new to bed and breakfasts, we want to help you understand the differences between us and other accommodations.
A visit to a B&B is often compared to staying in a friend's home, except we don't drink out of the milk carton.
In many homes, you'll find various amentities such as fireplaces, private baths, afternoon tea, comfortable beds and a great breakfast elegantly served.
For the Cedars, we are blessed with many and varied attractions within miles of our home. Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens, Kingsmill, and plenty of shopping and sightseeing are within a few minutes drive.
The College of William and Mary and Colonial Williamburg are within walking distance.
Our day begins with freshly brewed coffee served daily at 7:30 AM, with breakfast beginning promptly at 8:00 AM.
Our reservations and cancellation policies are pretty standard for the area and are described in the Guest Information section. Our rates range from $135-$380 for the entire two-room cottage.
We accept Visa, Mastercard or personal checks. Room deposits are required. We welcome children at the Cedars. There are no minimum stay requirements, except for a few special occasions during the year.
The Cedars is a smoke-free and pet-free home, but we provide a comfortable outside area adjacent to our off-street parking area.
Telephones are available for local or credit card calls for your convenience.
