Intuit, the folks who make the Quicken bookkeeping software, have set up a "Love local business" promotion this year.  They have set aside $1M for grants for small businesses nationwide. 

Each month they select individuals business for a $25,000 grant and one grand prize winner will receive $50,000.  To have a chance at winning, nominated businesses get "votes."  Those votes are like raffle tickets.  The more votes, the better chance of winning.  Our Cedars of Williamsburg Bed & Breakfast has over 1500 votes to date and we know how we will spend the grant money should we be lucky enough to win; on our military. 

There are links below and an attachment from the local papers telling the story and of our plans to provide free room nights and romance packages for our deploying and returning military.
